Personalise Your Bespoke Album

To have and to hold.

For generations to come…

This is my grandparents album over 70 years old and bold as the day it was printed. A beautiful album of images that take me back to them. Holding something brings you closer to that captured moment. A tangible connection to those memories that need to be cherished today, and passed on in the future. This is why I have selected the very best supplier of printed products, unlike high street photographs of today gives us that heirloom quality to your wedding laum.

One of the most striking differences between my fine art album and your standard online book printer, is in the paper. I only use high quality fine art paper which has been specially created to last hundreds of years. Unfortunately high street prints aren’t made to last and may start to yellow within 10 years or less. The fine art paper in my books is completely matt meaning reflected lights won’t glare off the page allowing you to enjoy the high quality print without restriction.

There are two types of ink used to print photo books; dye ink and pigment ink. Dye inks work by staining the paper which over time will bleach. This results in the image fading or changing colour. Unless stated otherwise, high street printers will use the cheaper dye based ink. My albums use pigmented inks which are literally, microscopic particles of pigment. The oil paintings you see hung in museums are created using pigment ink.

This ink is more expensive but is archival and creates a beautiful result. My albums use a 12 ink system which creates an almost perfect representation of your image. High street printers only use 4, so you may see dramatic changes in colour tone. Inkjet is at the forefront of print innovation and achieves a beautiful quality

Selecting your images

How to choose your images

The first step is to choose the images you would like to include in your album. I recommend thinking about each part fo the day and selecting images for Getting Ready, Ceremony etc. As a guide I recommend selecting around 60 images for a 15 page spread, and then 4-6 images per extra spread. To select your images, make sure you are signed into your gallery and click the heart icon for each image you would like included. Once you have selected these just pop me a message and I shall design your album and send you a virtual version to look over.

15 page spreads begin at £490

Endpapers

Historically, endpapers were neutral with a marble pattern but we offer a gorgeous collection of 15 colours to choose from. It gives you or your clients a chance to echo a theme in the images and either match, complement or contrast with the cover.

Cover Materials

Contemporary Leather

If you love the natural and imperfect charaterists of leather to come bursting through then choose either Latte, Sandstone, Dusk, Graphite, Truffle or Saddle. These semi-aniline leathers have character and sole.

Purity

A vegan-friendly alternative to leather is available in eight beautiful colours carefully selected to complement your images. It is wonderfully soft with a leather-like feel and is well suited to personalisation. Cover printing and debossing are my favourites.

Mini Copies

Our Mini Copies are a really lovely way for you to thank family, friends, bridesmaids and groomsmen. They’re direct copies of your larger album and are made in exactly the same way, with the same high quality materials and to the same exacting standards. They even come cocooned in a cotton bag and in their own presentation box.

The perfect, anniversary or Christmas gift

My Fine Art Albums are handcrafted and only available through professional photographers. They are produced using archival inks and museum grade paper meaning your images will never fade.
